On board the Kyuui 01 the internal lights have turned red. Nina, who has just awakened, queries on what's going on. Kent replies that they're approaching Mars. Nina takes her position at the scanning console and turns the sensors on. The computer beeps and the view screen turns on showing Mars. Kent, noticing something out of the ordinary tells Nina who scans it. The view screen zooms in. Nina and Kent are shocked. It's a space station and it's in orbit around Mars.

OPENING

Nina and Kent are astonished at what they're looking at. Kent, breaking the silence first, questions what it is while Nina tries to scan it and learns that the building's structure is made with Kurium. Kent finds that weird as Kurium is highly unstable in a solid form. To make matters worse, Nina can't get an internal scan. However, they do locate a docking port. Kent decides that they will dock. Nina isn't pleased though, she's afraid the aliens are on board. Kent reassures that exploring the station is the only way to learn about the aliens. Nina deems that they should tell Chief Musashi what they've discovered and that they're going to go in.

Back in the Space Warriors' base, Musashi is highly agitated and seems extra worried about something. He questions Miyu, who is working feverishly at her console, if she has found anything yet to which she replies she hasn't. Musashi stresses that it's important to find out who was responsible for some stolen Kurium They are interrupted when Nina's picture appears on the view screen. She informs the chief of what they've discovered and tells him that they're going to land and check it out. Musashi reminds them to be careful, and gives the go-ahead.

The Kyuui 01 lands on the docking port. Inside the ship, Kent and Nina put on space suits that will protect them from harshness of space. Kent also takes one of the guns that Sebastion had given them.

The two approach a large metal door with six squares that stand out. Next to the door there is a small alien key pad. The key pad displayed four alien symbols on it. Nina pushes the buttons six times and the door begins to open. Neither one of them can believe it. Nina passes it off as "beginner's luck," which Kent hopes continues to last. They both enter the door as it shuts behind them.

They continue walking through a hallway until they reach an elevator-type room. Upon entering it, it begins to rise. In addition, dark maroon lights turn on. When it stops, they exit into a large square room. There are pulsing triangle-shaped white lights on the floor in this room and circle-like windows that reveal a strange dark liquid. The wall across from the lift lies an archway that leads to yet another room.

Nina pulls out a recording device and begins to walk around the room, capturing everything. Kent, meanwhile, walks over to one of the windows and looks out. He's startled when something completely black blocks the window. When he looks again, however, he sees nothing. Nina calls out that she's finished with this room and wishes to proceed. Kent hesitantly agrees.

In the next room Nina spots a computer system and begins to walk to it. She's stopped when a thick black goo substance drips down on her from the ceiling. Kent looks upwards and sees tons of large black pods.

Nina continues to the computer and begins to download the data. They're stopped again when they hear a strange sound. Kent again looks upwards and notices one of the pods is beginning to shake. He urges Nina to hurry with downloading the data, as they may have to leave any second. Indeed, before Nina can download all of the data the pod falls to the ground and the two run out of the room. The pod shakes violently as something forces its way out of it.

EYE CATCH.

Kent and Nina run as fast as they can towards the lift, aware that something that is darkening the room is behind them. When they reach the lift, Kent is frustrated that the door is closed and won't open. To make matters worse, a klaxon buzzer begins to go off. Desperate he raises his gun to the door and prepares to fire when Nina shouts out to him.

She informs him that since the structure is lined with Kurium, firing the gun onto it might cause a reaction and destroy the entire station. He replies that they don't exactly have a lot of options and does it anyway hoping for the best. Thankfully for both of them it works and they enter the lift and descend just in time.

Just when they think they're in the clear they hear a loud CLANK. Kent realizes instantly that the alien is on top of the lift just waiting for it to stop. He makes a decision to jump off the lift early and shoot the gun upwards in an attempt to slow it down. When the lift gets close to where it stops, he fires the gun and they make a break for the door leading outside.

The door is locked. Nina informs him that all she has to do is repeat the entry they used to get in and begins to punch in symbols. The alien approaches Kent and for the first time we can see that it has a long black arm that is dripping with goo. In addition we can see large sharp claws that begin sweeping at Kent. He manages to dodge the first two times but is cut across his left arm during the third slash. Meanwhile, Nina has managed to get the door open and both exit and make a break for the Kyuui 01.

They make it just in time and take off before the alien manages to break through the thick door. Yet another problem arises a moment later when an alien ship, smaller than the one that destroyed The Gambler's Dream, appears. This ship is much faster than the Kyuui 01 and Kent has a hard time getting a solid lock on it to attack. But then it happens. He gets a solid lock and fires immediately. Two beams combine to make one which slices through the alien ship like a knife through butter. The Kurium-based weapon is a success.

After several victory cheers, Nina notices how tired Kent is and sends him off to rest. He agrees and goes to his quarters, to the water closet. He examines his wound and is surprised that it is still bleeding. After washing it his vision blurs and he realizes that he's lost a lot of blood (more than he believed) and retires to bed.

In his sleep he hears a deep man's voice who declares " A pilot? And what? You expect me to commend you? Praise you? What a failure. You disgust me. Leave my sight at once." He is awakened when he hears Nina screaming for him. He struggles to get through the hallway and back into the bridge. Nina notices that Kent's shirt around the cut is now blood-soaked and is concerned but he brushes it off as nothing.

Nina then informs him that she has translated the alien race's name and brings it up. The screen shows the symbols and converts them to English: O K E Z U. Kent remarks that it doesn't sound like a very menacing name but loses consciousness mid sentence. Nina rushes forward and lifts him up and takes him back to his room.

We are left staring at the name of the alien race.. OKEZU.
